Experimental, funky, and still influential.

What can be said about Prince that hasn’t been said? The thing with Prince on this album is he always seems to find the most unorthodox sounds and craft amazing melodies around them.

He is constantly pushing the boundary vocally and musically.

You walk away from the songs on this album wondering what you just heard and experienced but you keep coming back and back then it becomes an essential rotation.

My favorite house/electronic project of all time, filled with timeless songs that have been plastered all over pop culture.

The side chain pumping effect hits hard and creates a rhythm on its own. Carefully curated samples make the melodies catchy . The high energy and fast tempo makes this one of the funnest albums to play out loud on full volume.

What has been said about this album that hasn’t been said already?

Despite it being over 50 years old, it still sounds so new and refreshing. It paved the way on how sounds can paint a picture. They were using synthesizers to replicate the sound of a helicopter passing by.

Addictive guitar licks, lush keys and the sound of effects immerses you into the universe of this album.

The vocal performances are incredible as well.

Time is one of those songs that stands out the most to me in this album, it resonates differently as you revisit this song after hearing it for the first time. There’s so many other highlights but this is my favorite off the album.
