Never skip this one. Instrumentals are so good, it hooks u from the start. Vocals are so effortless. 10/10

the songs that didn’t make the album are better than most albums coming out now.

The Boat I Row is perfect with an incredible bass line that leads the drums and Kevin’s vocals, super melodic and would’ve fit the album perfectly

No Choice is another banger, have no idea how this didn’t make it either.

Patience is a perfect homage to the sound of ABBA while adding in Tame’s own style to it. Sounds like a summer day you want to live in everyday.

The remixes for One More Year and Borderline are great takes and adds a new dimension to them with the way they’re flipped. Patience remix is also another vibe but not as strong as the other two mentioned.

Tame Impala’s third classic in a row, this is the album that crossed over to the mainstream and shifted the entire soundscape of music across all genres. It’s the perfect mix of catchy melodies, experimentation, lush textures, and amazing drums.

This might be the gold standard of production for me personally.

Currents is practically a perfect album but somehow this one is slightly better.

The way Kevin constantly evolves and still manages to surpass expectations with his albums is incredible. This guy is like an endless pit of creativity at the highest level. He does the drums, the vocals, the keys/synths, and the engineering. Arguably the most talented musician of the last 15 years.

Posthumous Forgiveness is one of those songs that hits incredibly hard since it’s dedicated to his late father. The second half of the song with the lyrics, the way he sings, and the aggressive drums is probably my favorite thing Kevin has ever done.

There’s something about this album that feels nostalgic but in the truest form of the word. The word stems from the Greek words, nostos (homecoming) and algia (pain). To me, this album sonically captures joyful times and has been the soundtrack for many sunny days. But songs like Posthumous Forgiveness reminds you of those moments that are fleeting away, in the midst of good times and success, you lose people you love that you can’t experience that time with. There’s a small gap of emptiness in the joy.

The album is filled with a lot of moments I really enjoy and it unfortunately dropped right as the pandemic blew up so it feels like it truly didn’t get to breathe and resonate like how Currents did, but what an all around performance again.
