This was the true changer in the music industry, Frank’s songs & storytelling in this album really became real life situations for me. Siegfried, indecisive on identity not being able to fully commit for the better of yourself. Self control, what can I really say about this? It's such a simple song, in terms of musical instruments, but it's his voice that draws you in. It's frank giving us a song for someone, and delves into two key ideas: nostalgia, and lost love. That's what I love about it. This is Blonde condensed into one song. 10/10

Favorite album I’ve listen to in the pop genre. Well written, each song is its own character and the entire album flows perfectly. 10/10

very pivotal album for bieber. in my opinion, this is the album that took him from being only perceived as "for girls" or just a pop sensation and teen heartthrob to being seen as a more serious artist. if they're good/last long enough, every teen star has that pivotal/transitional album.

with skrillex on production and cover art by the renowned RETNA, this album was a full artistic project in every sense. consisting of 14 tracks, he has his major hits like what do you mean, sorry, love yourself, and company as well as his more introspective songs like i'll show you and life is worth living. i gave it a 4.5 bc for me there are a couple of skips but overall suchhhhh a good album and such a time capsule!

I think this is more of a ballad-type of Olivia Rodrigo album. Definitely more different than the other albums she had released. It made me think of “all I want” instead of “good 4 u/driver’s license”. Some lines were mediocre, but overall was a good album!

Gritty girl pop music that lifts the same energy and sassiness from pop music between 2009-2011 but with modern drums and crushing bass. One of my favorite first listens for an album and im going to call this a modern Pop classic. This immediately jumps out and grabs you. I might do a more detailed review later but love how unapologetic and experimental it is but still plays into the best parts of yesteryear’s pop music.

I actually don’t like much of the music here but I’m not deaf , this is great pop music. It’s just not for me and that fine. I don’t like manufactured sounding music. That sounds like a slight but it’s not a bad thing at all. Just a different approach that just never connects with me personally

He’s not a bad artist , it’s just painfully mediocre. He looks cool and has a cool visual appeal but the music is just so meh.

genuinely a no skip album… i say that about every ariana album but this one is waayyy different from her previous albums (in the best way possible). i kinda hear some imogen heap influences who ariana is super inspired by, which is really cool! my personal favs on the album are never get over me, like i do, petal, and warning signs. it’s all i have been listening to since the release !

“CHAT” is definitely a different vibe for GIRLSET, and I think the change works. They’re leaning more into hyperpop than in their previous releases, but in a way that still feels intentional and never over the top. It gives the song a fun, playful energy while remaining easy to listen to.

What I appreciate most is that they’re willing to experiment without losing the identity they’ve worked so hard to build through their rebrand. You can hear the hyperpop influences throughout the song, but they never overshadow what makes GIRLSET, GIRLSET. Their vocal talent is still front and center, and that’s what keeps the track feeling authentic.

A song with the message. The heart behind “Ain’t In LA” comes from ADÉLA’s mother, who grew up behind the Iron Curtain. As a teenager, she fell in love with Western pop culture, but because access to Western music and memorabilia was heavily restricted, she secretly decorated her bedroom with smuggled posters of the artists she admired. Growing up with that story, ADÉLA wanted to create something meaningful for the girls around the world who dream of the same thing.

“Ain’t In LA” is a love letter to girls who admire Western pop culture but, because of where they live or the circumstances they’re in, can only experience it from afar. Instead of telling them they need to be somewhere else to matter, the song reminds them that there is beauty, value, and limitless potential in who they are and where they come from.

How can you not love this song?

there’s nothing i can say.

I find it inspirational that my modern day goat has taken the opportunity to look in the mirror. Especially after the biggest year of her life. She could of easily just fed into what her caricature became, but truly sat with her self and conveyed bluntly how she’s just a person who loves what she loves and that nothing last forever, not even her.

One of my favorite songs!

One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard.

I’ve heard flamingo music before but never in this type of style. The way she uses auto tune slightly at some points as an instrument with the flamingo guitar is pure genius.

Keep this song in your back pocket if you need a pick me up. The chorus could be it's own mantra:

I have thought about it and I don't know what genre of music this is. All I know is that it's a great song with a great message.

I like it. it’s different, very liminal but nice

honestly probably one of his most slept on projects ever. i have to admit even i slept on justice for the longest time. though i can see the relevance in including the mlk snippets given everything that was happening in 2020, i’m just not sure how aligned it is with the album itself if that makes sense. for that reason i had to go with a 4.5 rating instead of a full 5 stars.

that being said, this album is beautiful from top to bottom. starting off strong with 2 much, an intimate and gentle love song, and ending with lonely - one of his most vulnerable songs ever imo, this album really gives listeners an “in” on his thoughts and emotions at the time.

i have to say, laroi is actually one of my favorite artists of the younger generation. i feel like he usually makes meaningful and catchy music.

in this album, he gets really vulnerable and honest talking about his breakup, what tore them apart, and how he’s been struggling to get over this girl. he bounces around from anger, sadness, loneliness, trying to forget her, but then missing her too. favorite track is RATHER BE and 5:21AM.

rating a 3.5 because i feel like some of the songs can get repetitive but might edit that down the line after more listens!

This song amazes me bc like… how did they fit sixteen girls in one song bru 😭😭 but jokes aside this song is fireeee they are literally exposing and dissing their haters in one dive song. Period 🎀

This is one of those songs that will have you in your feelings if you listen to it at the right time. The piano piece makes it feel very personal and heartfelt. Very underrated artist.

This is fun song to bop your head to. This New Zealand artist has great range. Has a little bit of a big band feel with an R&B groove.
